Wildlife Watching

Female blackcap

That was a good start to the day.  Female blackcap on the feeder, three roe deer on the hill and a jay flew across in front of them.  Yesterday saw a buzzard soaring above the studio.

Staring out of the studio window all day isn’t conducive to producing paintings so I’d better get on with the crested larks.   I like paintings in their very early stages, as everything progresses quickly and nothing feels too permanent if I don’t like it.  That’s the beauty of acrylics – anything can be modified, obliterated, repainted or enhanced.

If you’ve never tried acrylics why not come to my summer school class in Gloucester in July?  Dates are on my website http://www.jackiegarner.co.uk/events.htm, or email me artist@jackiegarner.co.uk if you’d like more information.
